The third one is Coming!
Xiaomi is looking to launch a third sub-brand as new rumour coming out of China. The new third brand will sit alongside Mi and Redmi in its portfolio. As Redmi and Mi were mostly focused on online sales channels, the new brand will put a strong focus on offline sales.
We still have no idea regarding what the third brand will be called. This may be happening in order to compete with Oppo and Vivo, the BBK Electronics subsidiaries that have seen consistent rapid growth in sales in China and in other countries too. As Xiaomi has concentrated its efforts on selling stuff online and some of the phones in offline channels, as a result Oppo and Vivo built an amazing distribution network of thousands of stores across China and India.
As a bonus, we have leaked image of Xiaomi’s new brand’s first smartphone which is available online. First of all, the image doesn’t give us less information about the device rather than the power button. It clearly reveals that device will support dual rear camera’s setup and looks a lot similar to the OnePlus 5 and Oppo R11. Along with the same iPhone 7-inspired antenna band design. Only things the manage to look different from other two phones are the positioning of the LED flash. The most noteworthy thing is we can expect it to launch by this month.
