After a long wait Samsung finally took stage in New Delhi to launch its most awaiting mid-ranger the Samsung Galaxy A8+ with most of the flagship features which are present in Samsung Galaxy S8 or Note 8. From edge-to-edge Infinity display, IP68-certification, micro-SD card slot, Always on Display (AOD) and much more.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus features a 6.0-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with an unusual aspect ratio of 18.5:9, curved glass design and a metal frame on the side. It is powered by the Samsung Exynos 7885 octa-core processor (2x 2.2GHz & 6x 1.6GHz) coupled with Mali-G71 GPU and up to 6GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) sports 64GB of onboard storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB).

On the optics side, The front camera is a dual 16MP + 8MP setup with f/1.9 aperture on both sensors, while the rear camera is 16MP with f/1.7 aperture and also support for Live Focus feature for Portrait Mode and AR style stickers. The Rear Camera comes with a 16MP with f/1.7 aperture, phase detection auto focus, LED flash and 1080p video recording with video digital image stabilization (VDis) technology.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based Experience UI and there are options such as Dual-Sim, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. It is further backed by a 3,500mAh battery with support for fast charging.


Priced at Rs 32,990, the Samsung Galaxy A8+ will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India from 20 January onwards, something we knew since the smartphone was first teased on Amazon India page last week. The phone will be available in two colors Black and Gold.
