科研项目:
2000年以来曾先后主持承担国家级863、973科研项目4项,省、部级科研项目4项。

获奖及审定品种情况:
1 “耐潜育性土壤水稻生态育种技术”获1995年度中国科学院科技进步三等奖(主要完成人之一)
2 《水稻大面积高产综合配套技术研究开发与示范》 2002年度国家科学技术进步二等奖(主要参加完成人之一)
3 《优质高产杂交稻新品种红莲优6号选育、研究和利用》获得2004年湖北省科学技术进步奖一等奖(主要完成人之一)。
4 作为主要完成人或参加人先后培育审定的水稻品种和不育系有:常优88、汕优88、金优88、花8、金优22、长早籼5号、红莲优6号、两优1193、武香880、武香A、粤优9号、珞优8号、珞红3A、武香988。
