HTC U11 EYEs
The Taiwan company has revealed its new HTC U11 Eyes Smartphone, including double front cameras that the company says, are intended for taking selfies. The two forward-looking 5-megapixel cameras and a wonder mode that HTC guarantees will make “dynamite selfies.”
The U11 Eyes has the same 18:9 6″ screen as the U11+ but runs in Snapdragon 652 coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM & 64GB of onboard storage that can be expanded upto 400GB via microSD slot. On the back, we have a 12 MP UltraPixel OIS camera with a f/1.7 gap which can shoot moderate slow-mo 1080p recordings at 120 fps.
Let’s talk about the new Dual Front camera which are the EYEs of the new phone. They are 5 MP with f/2.2 aperture and are used for the Face Unlock feature just like OnePlus 5T. The dual cam setup additionally supports Portrait Mode and a lot of AR Snapchat-like stickers.
It’s also water and dust resistant and has a massive 3,930mAh battery. It’s a mid-range device but features the same liquid-shiny design as earlier U11 handsets. Some of the other highlights of the U11 EYEs is the HTC’s own Edge Sense pressure-sensitive frame with squeeze gestures. It also has Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and USB-C port over USB 2.0.
The only disadvantage that we found was the lack of a headphone jack as HTC is already on its way to put end to it with there Type-C Earphones. The HTC U11 Eyes is available in Red, Silver, and Black, and will go on sale in Hong Kong from Wednesday, with the 64GB model for (€410/$505). There is no word on the launch date of HTC U11 EYEs to launch in India sooner.
