Android O was released later this year with its first developer preview for Google Pixel & Nexus Devices but at the same time, no one has an idea about its full form.

“in the past, Google has the habit of consistently naming their Android Versions on Sweets and Candies like Android KitKat, Lolipop, Nougat and much more.”

Now it’s the time for Android O which will now be officially named as Android Oreo 8.0 and it does bring some of the new and cool features to make the user experience more interacting and faster than before. Let’s check out some of its features.

This feature does sounds familiar because it was present in Google Chrome for quite a long time now. With Android Oreo, Google is including this Auto Fill feature which remembers your logins to get you into your favorite apps at supersonic speed.

New background limits in Android Oreo will help your device to extend its better battery life. It simply helps minimize background activity in the apps you use least. These limits come in two forms: Execution Limits and Location Limits.

In execution limits, the apps which are running in the background even if you aren’t using them or portions of its activities are not in the foreground and being actively used.

While the location limits are specifically for apps that require access to a device’s location services GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile triangulation which causes the major reason of battery drain.

All though this is definitely not a new feature for Samsung Fans, those who are not aware the Picture-in-picture (PIP) mode lets apps run a video activity in the pinned window while another activity continues in the background. Basically, you can do two things at once.

With Android Oreo, Google has revamped the way we get a notification. These Notifications Dots are small and have a circular structure which sits right above your apps icons. They’ll only appear if you have received any unread notifications.

“If you long-tap, then you’ll get a quick preview.”

Ever thought of using any Android Apps without even downloading it? Well, this will be totally possible after Google announced about Android Instant Apps in I/O which will make its way in Android Oreo.

Android Oreo has one of the best Notification Drawer and Controls if it gets compared to any older versions. With the new notifications controls, you’ll have greater control over the types of notification you receive from apps and it lets users hide notifications for a period of time.

Over 60 New Emojis will be added to Android Oreo.
